Meet The Teachers

Charlie - Studio Owner
Charlie is the studio owner and a teacher at Dance Reality. She has teaching qualifications held with NATD, ISTD and IDTA and has been teaching for many years. As well as training and gaining teaching qualifications in dance and performing as a dancer she also trained in construction and became a chartered building surveyor. After teaching out of village halls and establishing a performance group that performed in many countries she gave up the building work and performing and in 2006 opened the Studios giving a base for all the classes. Charlie teaches many genres at the studios such as jazz, tap, modern, street, competition teams and still loves to teach all ages and help them achieve their best.

Miss Louise
Louise has been dancing for over 18 years, during which she has studied a wide variety of styles including Classical Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Street, Tap and Contemporary. She spent a year as a member of the Berkshire Youth Dance Company, and in 2000 was awarded a scholarship to study at the at British Ballet Organisation with Miss Brenda Last. She also spent time studying musical theatre and dance at London Studio Centre prior to beginning a degree course in Law. Louise has regularly competed at local and national dance competitions, and her achievements include 1st Place Contemporary Quartet at the All England Dance Competition. Having studied both the RAD and BBO syllabi as a student, Louise then trained in ISTD ballet at the Linda Sweetzer Teacher Training College.

Charlotte
Charlotte has been dancing since the age of 3 and moved her training over to Dance Reality Studios when she was 8 years old. After training in various styles of dance, she studied her teaching qualifications at Dance Reality and became a qualified teacher with the IDTA. Charlotte has over 10 years of experience teaching various styles of dance including; street, jazz, modern and performing arts. Musical theatre is Charlottes favourite style to perform and teach and she loves sharing her passion for dance, singing and drama with all the students at Dance Reality.

Miss Josie
Josie has trained at Dance Reality since she was 5 years old and has completed all her dance exams up to Advanced 2 level all with Distinction grades acheived. She is now working towards her formal teaching qualifications and is loving teaching. She has perfomed in numerous productions and professional pantomimes over the years as well as competing at national levels. Alongside her teaching she is currently training at The Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts doing a degree in Musical Theatre/Dance. Josie loves teaching and inspiring her students at Dance Reality.

Miss Diana
Diana is a confident and versatile dancer, professionally trained in various Contemporary dance styles and experienced in many others. As a performer, she has excellent interpretive skills and a strong stage presence. Diana is passionate about teaching ballet, contemporary and improvisation and believes that dance can bring everyone together, no matter their gender, race, age, or background. Dance not only promotes happiness and togetherness but also health.


Sam
Sam teaches Ballroom & Latin at the Studios. She has been involved with dance since a very young age and tried many genres, but Ballroom/Latin is what she loves the most. She has competed in competitions, danced in shows and taught at corporate events. She teaches both adults and children and loves to teach wedding couples their first dance. Teaching will always be a part of what Sam does but she is also a full-time Project Manager for a Publishing company.
Miss Olivia
Olivia has been dancing at Dance Reality since she was 11. Before this she trained in some dance but mainly gymnastics. Olivia trained in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, street, lyrical/contemporary, musical theatre and acro and has completed all the modern grades with distinction and is working towards Advanced 2 ballet. Olivia is now training professionally at Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts where she is doing a degree in Dance/Musical Theatre. Olivia has loved teaching this past year at Dance Reality and can't wait to continue in the future.
